What ages does Beyond Distinction cater to?
We offer extra-curricular activities for students from kindergarten to year 6 from schools in the Concord / Cabarita areas. Contact us to find out if your school is on our latest pickup list.
What time do you finish?
All extra-curricular activities will be completed by 6:00pm. Parents are to pick up their children from the Beyond Distinction Academy HQ no later than 6.30pm. A Late Pickup fee may apply.
Non-attendance (sick/away) days
Parents must notify Beyond Distinction via email or text (no later than 10:00am on the morning of absence) of any student who are sick or away on their enrolled days. This notice is required to ensure pickups are not delayed unnecessarily and impact other students' lesson schedules. A Failure of Notice fee may apply.
What are the qualifications of the Beyond Distinction team?
1) All Beyond Distinction staff are qualified in First Aid including CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis.
2) All Beyond Distinction staff and instructors have undergone the required Working With Children checks.
How is my child supervised?
A Beyond Distinction staff member will be onsite for the duration of each lesson/activity.
Do you offer government benefits or childcare rebates?
Beyond Distinction is not an After School Care or OOSH (Outside of School Hour) service provider.
Beyond Distinction is dedicated to providing students learning opportunities and access to a broad range of extra-curricular activities which are not eligible for childcare rebates. We are approved Active Kids (2x $100/year) and Creative Kids($100/year) providers, allowing us to accept vouchers issued by Services NSW.
What if it's raining?
Don't worry, we have a schedule of instructed activities for rainy days where the students will be provided with an alternative indoor lesson. Activities may include indoor golf, yoga classes, dance, language or music lessons.
In order for us to provide our program of activities, bookings for all activities are for the full school term or the remainder of the term should a student start mid-term. Fees can be paid upfront for the full school term or direct debited fortnightly from your nominated account, a small surcharge applies for recurring direct debit payments. For direct debits, a 2-week bond is required to secure your child's booking. Your booking is not confirmed until payments have been received by us, ie. full term payment or bond plus 2 weeks.
Cancellations & change requests
We require a minimum of 2 weeks notice for any changes to enrolment days (subject to availability).
Requests to cancel an enrolment and/or seek a refund due to serious illness and/or injury after the start of the program must be submitted in writing, along with a medical certificate to firstname.lastname@example.org. Any other cancellation requests due to exceptional circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis. No refunds will be provided for partial attendance once the program has started.
If your child has a medical condition, we advise that you seek medical advice & clearance before enrolling. If your child was unwell in the 48 hours prior to attendance, including symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, fever, pain, infections or contagious conditions etc, they should not attend Beyond Distinction programs without first attaining a clearance certificate from a qualified medical practitioner.
Instructors & venues
In order to maintain the highest quality of services for students, we reserve the right to change the venue and/or instructors for activities without notice, should circumstances arise where instructors are unavailable due to illness, leave, cessation of employment etc.
